How to Choose Paintball Paint
67There is two main groups of Paintballers, the ones who go every now and then and either rent or own their own marker but aren't too into it or the people who go every weekend and are on the cutting edge of every new piece of equipment. However what do both of these individuals have in common? They want to last longer in the game and tag more people out. Weather this is game to game or weekend to weekend many will go to great lengths to get an edge on their opponents. One of the simplest and easiest ways to get better at paintball and improve your game is to buy the right paintballs!
Why the Right Paintball Paint is Important
In the game of paintball your paintball paint is your ammunition. Its how you eliminate other players and its how you get eliminated, and bruised! So as in real battle the person with the best skills, range, and accuracy as well as other important aspects will come out on top right? Wrong! The main difference between real guns and paintball markers is the fact that there is limited power to paintball guns. As you shouldn't shoot paintballs at over 300 Feet per second they are much more limited than real rifles. This means in essence all paintball markers shoot around the same distance. However good paint can change your accuracy and how far you can shoot! The more perfectly round your paint is the less it will curve or arc during flight, this will cause it to shoot in a more predictable pattern as well as slightly further. So what does this mean to you? Well it means you have to pay close attention to what paintball paint you buy! So read the rest of this article carefully before purchasing your next case of paint!
Basic Paintball Paint (30-40$)
This Is as cheap as paintball paint gets for the most part! However you can still get a marginally good paintball for this price! In fact if you are using a cheaper marker this is probably a better choice for a simple reason, cheaper paint is usually much more forgiving. Most cheap markers are quite tough on paint causing it to break in the gun more often witch leads to a horrid day at the field, trust me!
Medium Paintball Paint (40-60$)
Now is when paint starts getting a little more pricey however the more you spend the more you get in consistency in shell in terms of thickness as well as perfect roundness. The more brittle the paint is the more likely it is to break when it hits your opponent. However in this medium area of paint you get a perfect combination of Brittleness and toughness for the low to mid range guns!
High End Paintball Paint (60-70$)
This is as good as it gets! Made for the serious player with the serious gun Highend paintball paint is the best in consistency as well as break ability. If you are looking for the best paintballs money can buy look no further!
